My frustrations with Blogger!

I am feeling rather targetted and prosecuted right now! Can someone explain to me why Blogger refuses to upload my photographs the way I want them uploaded?

I usually upload them in the sequence that I plan to write but for the last 1 week I find that irrespective of the order in which I attach them, when they get uploaded, they are in random order!

As it is, it takes ages to upload a JPEG file, on top of that if I start loading them one by one, instead of a batch, I'll be only uploading photographs the whole day long!

Sometimes blogger goes insane. I can't figure it out. Lately it has been putting the photos I want to upload backwards, so I input them backwards. I have also resorted to uploading directly to Picasa (from the dashboard) and getting a link to embed the photo in my blog that way. A more involved process, but sometimes it works better. I also use You Tube rather than blogger for videos.

btw.. the last couple of days the internet has been very buggy. Not sure if it is our ADSL or what, but we're getting a lot of up and down connects. Makes it tough to upload pictures at all.

What size are the photos you're trying load? My larger files sometimes take forever. Because i tend to change the placement of my photos on the fly i don't notice the order thing.

Blogger is far too tempermental sometimes. *sigh*

I use a MAC, which has never had all the Blogger options available to Windows users. I also need to use Firefox, instead of Safari, as well, and even at that, I still don't get all the functions. And, since some of my readers in the UAE told me they couldn't see the photos I embedded via flickr, I now put them on my desktop, load them up in reverse order (last is loaded first), and everyone can see them. Then I just load them onto flickr separately. I'm not sure if flickr is still blocked in the UAE, but the way I upload them ensures everyone can see them.

Cairo Typ0 I just checked, I guess courtesy the resolution, my photos are around 2.18 MB each which might perhaps explain why it takes ages for them to upload, but not the random order, sigh!

Vagabondblogger..the first few times, Blogger uploaded my photographs in the reverse order of npuut, so decided to input them in the reverse order..Lo behodl, the moment I did that, Blogger decided to post them in random order. I have given up..now I just copy them in the order I need after they've been posted - painful but no other option!

http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php

that's free tool for editing images - example resize your photos.
I resize straight away my pics when I upload them from the camera (Canon has own program to resize pics)
And if necessary resize more, I do it with that tool...normally pic sizes are from 30k - 250k

+ the tool has borders etc. fun to play with! :-)

Blogitse, thanks, shall check the tool out. It makes sense to resiz the photos, it will also free up space in the web albums Piccassa for me...
